About the Course

Established in 2011, the Department of Mathematics explores the Science of Structure, Quantity, Space, and Change. By using Logic and Reasoning to study patterns, Numbers, and Relationships, mathematics serves as a powerful tool to describe the world-ranging from basic counting to complex concepts like Calculus. As a fundamental subject, it develops Logical Thinking, Problem-Solving Abilities, and Analytical Skills essential for science, Technology, and Finance.To prepare students for modern challenges, the department incorporates SCILAB, Python, and R-Programming into the curriculum for mathematical computation. We take great pride in our students' excellence; to date, over 50 students have achieved "Centum" in Mathematics and were honored by the management during our Annual Day celebrations.

Duration

The standard duration of a BSc Mathematics program is three years divided into six semesters.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (+2) Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent examination recognized by the Syndicate. Mathematics must be one of the subjects studied at the Higher Secondary level. Additionally, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
