Overview

B.Com stands for Bachelor of Commerce. It is an undergraduate degree program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in commerce, business studies, accounting, finance, economics, taxation, and management. The B.Com program equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for careers in the commercial and corporate sectors.

The course is ideal for students who are interested in understanding how businesses operate, how financial decisions are made, and how economic and commercial activities influence society.

Duration

The duration of the B.Com programme is three (3) years, divided into six semesters. Each academic year consists of two semesters. The curriculum follows the guidelines prescribed by the affiliated university and regulatory bodies.

During the course of study, students are exposed to core subjects, allied subjects, skill-based papers, electives, and value-added courses. The semester system helps students to learn progressively and allows continuous evaluation through internal assessments, assignments, and semester-end examinations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Com programme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Students must study the following Subjects such as Commerce, Accountancy at the higher secondary level.
